Pregnancy brings a new meaning to the concept of beauty. It is a period of immense joy coupled with excitement. To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman, and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched – along with body – making pregnancy a time of transition, growth, and profound beginnings.
When I found out that my middle sister was pregnant, I was super excited! Her and her husband were married one year ago today and I thought there was no better time to post to the blog about their maternity session!
We started off the day by going to Rock Glen Conservation Area in Arkona, ON to go back to the place where I photographed the two of them when it was Emily’s prom. Along the bridge, down to the falls and then back up to a little creek she was able to, for the most part, stay on her feet. With her sense of balance thrown off a little, she was a tad wobbly. At 33 weeks pregnant with a BOY, it is understandable. My first nephew has a due date of October 6th, 2016. I am really excited to meet this little boy, but most of all to also capture these moments for my sister. I get to capture my nephew being born into the world, come October, and it’s the most exciting thing I will ever do professionally.
So without further delay, here’s the sneaks from my sister and brother-in-law’s maternity session!!!
