With Christmas over and 2016 coming to a close, it’s time to reflect on all the great things that have happened this year. This year was such a great year for Growing Wings Photography. With 2017 fast approaching, there is so many new things around the corner. I am partnering with a friend and will be opening up a Event and Wedding Planning business. I am currently in the midst of getting my certifications through QC Event School for my Wedding and Event Planning, Event Decor and Luxury Event Planning.

With a growing base at Growing Wings I have realized how blessed I truly am to have all these amazing clients. This year I have watched two babies come into this world, watched as my sister became a mom, made so many new friends, and watched children grow. Aurora, Arya and Knox are three children whom I have had the immense privilege of capturing them growing on more than one occasion. Aurora had her first Easter, first birthday, and announced that she is going to be a big sister this year. Arya is growing into a smart little girl whom is super adventurous and I have been able to hear her vocabulary grow as well. Knox celebrated his first birthday and his second Christmas! These kids have grown so much and I love that I have been able to watch them grow up.

With this year I also got a little bit more creative in regards to my fine art images. I hosted my first gallery with the theme “Up In Smoke”, which was a major success. With the creativity flowing through my veins, I designed my first ever maternity gown for a session. Which is leading to new dress designs for a couple other maternity sessions that are upcoming! I expanded further into photographing dancers out in the elements, which has allowed me some amazing fine art dance images. I love the gracefulness and poise that I am able capture with these beautiful powerful dancers.

This year I expanded my portfolio, expanded my business, and expanded my GWP client base. I had the opportunity to photograph a engagement session in Niagara Falls, a wedding in Niagara Falls, a wedding in Windsor, and multiple weddings across Southwestern Ontario. I have grown so much as a person, a wife and a photographer.

Oh yeah…that also happened this year. I took a couple weeks off to get married!! Yup, the photographer got married! It was an amazing day and it was captured by an amazing woman. I love looking at my wedding images.

So with this….2016 is coming to a close. Happy New Year to all my followers and to all my GWP Clients!!
